The text version: Hello everyone, it's William. Welcome to my new channel, "The Talk with Books." Here, I share my experiences of reading various books and my thoughts on them. This isn't strictly a review channel; rather, I aim to share my personal reflections. I'm using this channel as a form of encouragement to read more books and to share my insights with you all.

In each episode, I'll discuss the amazing books I've read, the inspiration I draw from them, and how they relate to real life. In this first chapter of the "Talk with Books" series, I want to talk about one of my favorite books, "The Black Swan" by Nicholas Taleb. This is a fascinating and thought-provoking book.

"The Black Swan" discusses the impact of seemingly random events in life and their profound consequences. It delves into the concept of black swan events - rare and unpredictable occurrences that have significant effects. The book challenges our understanding of the world and urges us to reflect on our everyday experiences.

Using the analogy of machine learning, the book likens each of us to complex models, shaped by our experiences and the information we consume. It points out our tendency to build models of the world based on past experiences and highlights our difficulty in predicting the future. This book illustrates the limitations of our knowledge and encourages us to think outside the box, to be open to ideas that may seem outlandish at first.

"The Black Swan" teaches us that while we may strive to predict the future, we must acknowledge our limitations and the existence of unforeseeable events. It's a reminder not to be overly confident in our beliefs and to always be willing to reconsider them.

In summary, "The Black Swan" encourages a mindset of openness and humility, emphasizing the importance of considering possibilities beyond our immediate experience. If you find this book intriguing, I highly recommend reading it for a deeper understanding.
